We are at 23 weeks!
The twins are now about 500 grams, about 10.5-11 inches long and about the size of a grapefruit.
We have been quite busy lately. We started to get the nursery together. After much research we decided on cribs from Ikea. So, we braved Ikea on a Saturday (my worst nightmare) to get the cribs weeks ago. We wanted to get a specific kind, and surprisingly, cribs from Ikea are a hot commodity! All were sold out except for the more expensive $200 ones. Who knew? So we had to wait until the next shipment. We could have ordered them online, but since we live about 10-15 mins from Ikea I figured we would save $70 on shipping. A few weeks later, which was last Saturday, they had a new shipment in of a different kind of cribs. So off to Ikea we go. Again. On a Saturday. Again, my worst nightmare! The shipment they got were not the ones we wanted at first, and the ones we got are probably better in the long run. There are drawers at the bottom. We take them home and start assembling one. The first one we assembled seemed really complicated. You know, the Ikea stuff can sometimes be compiled to put together. We didn't even get to finish the first one that evening. We had to stop 3/4 of the way through, get dinner and I had to get to bed because I had to work early early the next morning.
We continue the next day and we finish the first crib and the second one within a couple hours. Not as bad assembling the second one since we got a warm-up with the first. I meant to take a picture of the chaos with all of the parts and boxes, stuffing and tools but I forgot. It was quite a sight! We managed to not lose any parts, so I guess it all worked out.
The new blinds came yesterday. We got the same kind so they fit just right in the fixtures that were already in. The old one was broken.
Auntie Issy helped us with the curtain situation. I got curtains, but I didn't think they worked well with the room. Plus, the length of the curtain was wrong. They need to be returned. Auntie Issy went out and got a couple options for us. We will have to hang the curtain rod first this weekend and then we'll see if what she brought home will work.
Here are a couple pics of the new cribs. We have one mattress already from Aunt Brandi and we have another on order.
The next appointment will be on Monday, February 9. I hope to update shortly after that. In the meantime, thanks for reading! Take care!

21 Weeks
We are currently at 21 weeks! Yeah!
We are super excited and things are slowly coming along. We are starting to get the nursery ready and in talks about a baby shower. We want to get things ready as soon as possible so we are prepared in case we have to leave for Mexico at a moments notice. Of course, we are hoping for "full term" which is 37 weeks. I think we're going to need to double check with the doctor to make sure we're still on the same timeline as it was in the beginning.
